The Machine

A man with no visible business held a jet, three homes, an island, and a $580M estate. So the money came from some, the girls through others, and the rest were disguise. Every criminal enterprise needs the same four jobs. The names sort cleanly — and some wear two hats, which is the signature of insiders, not bystanders.

Timing

Epstein was a convicted, registered sex offender after 2008. Innocent people run. These people leaned in — Black’s payments ran 2012–2017; Staley banked him while he was jailed; Teodorani-Fabbri’s “master” emails are all post-conviction. Keep feeding a machine you know grinds up children, and the business is the point.

New from the corpus

The fifth function: Washington

The 25k-document corpus reveals a layer the financiers-and-royal story missed: after 2015 Epstein ran a bipartisan reputation-management operation — Michael Wolff (media coordination), Kathryn Ruemmler (ex-Obama White House Counsel), Larry Summers (ex-Treasury), Steve Bannon (whose “Movement” he advised). Not just banking the powerful — managing his narrative through them.
